Today God awoke me and I do thank HIM. I had a deep concern at the forefront on my mind as I witness daily the untimely deaths of our black men, the demise of our youth no matter what their ethnic background is. I asked Daria before I pose the question to the world, “What are we as adults, as parents, as role models teaching our children?”

Of course I went to the Bible (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth) and found in Proverbs 22 (the book of living instructions) some key factors that will, and I mean WILL help us know that “the teacher lives what is taught.”  KJVProverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he/she should go, even when he/she is old they will not depart from it (personal emphasis included adding she/they to the content – not changing the WORD of GOD so don’t get it twisted). In The Healing Holy Bible is states the same verse this way: “Teach children in a way that fits their needs and even when they are old, they will not leave the right path.”

If a child constantly sees his/her parent, legal guardian/role model –  angry, fussing and cursing, living any kind of way in front of them, why are we shocked when the outcome of their lives is reflective of such? Fighting becomes fitting, hurting becomes habit, and wild is the way,  for that child. That child grows up becomes a man/woman, and what happens? They can’t give what YOU didn’t give them. Did you send them out in the world to fall and fail?  It is never too late to turn from the path of destruction to the road of defeat. Do know we all MUST reap what we sow. These senseless deaths – whether shootings, suicides, & stabbings, HAVE GOT TO STOP!!! The seed is planted in the home most times.  There are always exceptions to the rule for some come from the best homes and are given the WORD as instruction yet their lives are not reflective of such. We all stray but I know for a fact that when that WORD, the instruction is given to us as a child, we detour and take the path of righteousness.

Please remember THE TEACHER LIVES WHAT IS TAUGHT.  What are YOU teaching? How are you living in front of your children and the world?
